Do you want to know how to take difficult decision?
67
Say you don’t know whether or not to accept a job offer. You have been thinking about it for a long time. You have followed the rules, writing down all the pros and cons you can think of. But still can’t find a clear cut answer. This often happens and in no way means that you lack decisiveness.
In fact more decision makers generally end up relying on their intuition to make a final decision. And what is intuition if not a message sent to you by your subconscious? It analyses all the information you give it with prodigious speed. In addition, it can access kinds of information stored in its amazing memory-information which you no longer consciously remember and which can be a determining factor in its analysis of the situation. And that is precisely the information which you may be lacking and which is preventing you from making a decision.
So you don’t know which way to jump. At night, before going to bed you ask your subconscious for a solution to your problem. Very often you will wake up with answer, or it might come to you suddenly during the following day. In fact you will literally have slept on it and come up with the solution.
It may come to you in any number of ways-often mysteriously and almost always unpredictably. You might run into an old friend whom you haven’t seen for years. You chat for a few minutes and mention your intention to leave your present job at some stage for a position with another company. The friend then says that he just happened to do the books for the company you’re thinking of joining and that, confidentially speaking, and only because you’re an old friend, he must tell you that their finances are far from healthy. ‘At our last meeting, we even discussed the possibility of bankruptcy.’
You break out in a cold sweat. You were so close to accepting the new job, but it could have ruined your carrier. You had no idea the company was in such bad shape. But in some mysterious way, almost as if you had a sixth sense and my own experience has confirmed this over and over again- your subconscious guided you to meet this friend, whom you would never have thought of consulting yourself. In fact, you had no idea that he was doing the accounting for the company in question.
The way your subconscious uses to inform and guide you are mysterious and varied. Sometimes, completely by change, you will stumble on an article in a newspaper or book that gives you a precise solution to your problem. An inexperienced encounter, like the one just mentioned – almost providential in its timeliness will often provide you with a solution to your problem. In many instances you will experience a flash of intuition, which will determine your course of action. Experience has taught me that it is usually best to listen to your intuition, since it often turns out to be a reliable guide.
This kind of occurrence, of course, does not only apply to professional situations However, professional decisions are generally more clear-cut and easier to make than emotional ones, which are often clouded by various degree of doubt since emotions are, by nature, more fleeting and often difficult to comprehend. You meet someone new whom you like. You’re both free. After a while, you start talking about whether you should live together or not. It’s a very difficult decision to make. Ask your subconscious for the answer. It will guide you once again. It knows what course of action will lead you to real happiness and fulfillment.
In fact, you can interrogate your subconscious on all levels health, business, personal relationships, spiritual matters and so on. Start today. Set up a dialogue with your subconscious and you will get in touch with the centre of your being. You will have permanent access to the amazing wisdom which has been lying dormant inside you for too long.
